This has been a bit of an odd week.  I was out for a couple of days due to a hurt rib and my son also got a concussion last weekend.  My son is doing much better now and my rib is going to take some time, unfortunately.  But the students were so kind and helpful to me on Wednesday and Thursday!

This week students had fun learning about groundhogs, and the Fish & Game taught us about minks. Students continued writing their narrative stories and practiced writing and reading CVC words.

We were very excited to welcome a new student this week!  Thank you to the Yeh Family for the delicious hot cocoa that we enjoyed after another successful Cochran's outing! Students are growing their skills on the mountain quickly!

Stay warm!!!

The 100th day of school will be

Friday, February 10th!

In celebration of the 100th day, I am asking the children to bring in a collection of 100 small objects from home. The objects need to be able to fit in a gallon ziplock bag. Some ideas that fit in that size bag could be buttons, sticks, rocks, shells, marshmallows, paper clips, beads, pennies, Legos, pasta, or cereal.

Children should count their objects at home and bring them by Friday, February 10th. They could put them in groups of 10 and then count by tens to 100.

We will be doing different math activities with these objects so please do not send anything valuable. Encourage your child to be creative and have fun! Thank you for supporting our work at school.
